I REALLY want the next Zelda game to break the expectations everyone has for a Zelda game. The guy who made it said Twilight Princess was the last time you'll recognize Link, which I am glad for.

TP tried so hard to be OOT and failed. The wolf element worked decently enough, but the game didn't offer any storytelling in the way of emotion. The only person that had more than three or four facial expressions was Midna.

The sequel to MM should star a Link like the one in Windwaker. Not THE Link in Windwaker, just one that is in a cel-shaded style. Come to think of it, another game that feels like Windwaker would be great.

Shigeru Miyamoto you mean? Lol the guy who made it :P And ya, but I dont want them to change Link too much.
No, I think Eiji Aonuma makes Zelda now.
Aonuma is the current director of day to day operations (dungeon design, plot points, etc.), while Miyamoto is the producer. He isn't on day to day stuff, but everything has to get his approval to get into the game for the most part. The last game Miyamoto was in complete control over was Ocaraina of Time (And you wonder why it's considered my most to be the best Zelda game XD ).
Windwaker was better than Ocarina of Time by a long shot, but Majora's Mask beats out Windwaker just by a little bit.
Um...I don't know how you can say that. WW was fantastic, don't get me wrong, but two things in particular make it worse in my (and most ppl I know, opinion). Sailing as boring as f*** and having to pay tingle to find triforce shards... Ugh...that was horrible...
Sailing was made okay by the sense of discovery by finding a new island, and paying Tingle was the ONLY bad thing about the game, and at least that gave you a lot of time to explore.

Really, I can't find a single flaw with Windwaker, other than the fact that it's linked with Phantom Hourglass.
boring sailing! 0_0;;
It'd be fine if it didn't take so darn long to get from place to place X_X;;
Easy solutions to boring sailing:

1. Use the song Cyclos taught you to warp from island to island.
2. Just change the wind direction to go faster.

I really do like Majora's Mask better, and it is a great game.

However, the reason why it took such a short time for you to beat Windwaker is because your gaming skills got better during the 5 year time period of 1998-2003.

The main reason why I like the cartoony style (I still like the realistic style games, though) is because it creates a narrative in ways a Zelda game that was never a big driving point of the story (even though MM used it to a lesser extent), emotion.

Just the way he interacted with characters and how the NPCs treated him and each other made the game and characters much more believable.

I guess I'm like the only Zelda fan that enjoyed sailing.  :P

But I got OoT in 2000.... D:

oh well, I can understand what you are saying with the visuals in WW, and I agree with you.
But I just like realistic over cartoony/cel-shading.

But we can all agree that MM is the best.  ^_^

...And yes it does look like you are the only one who likes it. :D
