Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts Demo is now available for download!... if you have Gold membership, which I don't, and I can't get it because I only have just enough money to get the game when it comes out on the 11th.   :(

Oh well, at least I'll still get the game when it comes out.

Still downloading, cannot wait.

Well, I played for a long time last night and a little bit today, and I am impressed, despite a few things.

The vehicles are pretty much needed, the worlds are freaking huge. The vehicle building mechanic is really deep and you can spend hours just trying to make a perfect vehicle.

My main problems are that you cannot, at least as far as I can see, just ride around the vehicles you make for fun. There also is a limit on how many vehicles you can make, but I hope that's just in the demo.

Banjo's new voice... It reminds me of Bill Clinton.

What does that mean?  Is it mission-based?

You go into a world and accept challenges from people in order to get Jiggies, and you can choose what vehicle you want to have the challenge in, but just cruising around Showdown Town, at least in the demo, is just using a simple car.

Aw, that sucks.  I was hoping they'd at least make it free-roaming like the first ones, where you could literally just find Jiggies lying around the world if you explored enough.  Oh, and that one cart you have in Showdown Town is the only one you have there; I can't remember where, but I read somewhere (probably the official site or IGN) that in order to get to new areas around the town, you need to get upgrades to that cart, so that eventually it's all you need there.

Yay, it's free for Silver members now!

Wow, this is a pretty sweet game.  And the vehicle creator is amazing; it's much simpler and easier than building a Gummi ship (which is what I'd been comparing it to, since it looks so similar), and yet it's more expandable at the same time.  I even built a giant robot with arms, legs, torso, and a hand on one arm and a gun on the other.  I can't wait till this game comes out.

BTW I think Rare kinda gave Nintendo a much needed slap to the face:  in the Banjoland level, if you fly/tightrope-walk to the top of the giant ship (Rusty... something; it's in Banjo 1) and read the description about it, it says one of the jiggies from that level in the first game was "way too hard for today's soft gamers!"  I lol'd.
