On Tuesday, my class is going on a field trip....basically to go Christmas Shopping.

We're going to West Edmonton Mall, the largest Mall in North America. It has a dragon that breathes fire, an indoor mega pool with a beach and water slide, ice rink, amusement park, theme hotel, 800-ish stores, and two food courts.

I love West Ed, it's epic. There is no validation for going (we're cited as learning about economics) but my teacher just wants to shop. Go figure?

With that, we get the whole day to roam around the mall....making this likely one of the best field trips of my life. Have any of yours been awesome as of late?

Furthermore, I plan on doing all of my Christmas shopping here, as I'm maybe 10% done. Do you do Christmas shopping and how far are you?

Yeah...

amazon.com works for me, I hate going to the mall not just around Christmas but all year round, and I'm done shopping

I've never been one for online shopping myself.

My field trip to NYC was pretty dang epic.

I never knew Central Park was so pretty and beautiful.

But that was 2, 3 years ago.

I tend to do most of my Christmas shopping online, simply because I hate it when retailers run out of stock of whatever it was I went there to get.

Besides, I usually get rare stuff anyways.

A few weeks ago my Graphic Design Agency class went to BBDO Advertising in NYC.  They're a really high-profile company, making stuff for Target, Chrysler, Pepsi, etc.

They've made some famous super bowl ads.

I haven't had a field trip since 7th grade, a real field trip, not a crappy one 5 minutes away.

I was going to the mall on the 19th but that was cancelled due to work so I have no idea when I'm going Christmas shopping...

You will be after you've worked in retail for a few years. Trust me.

Eh. Not a job I ever imagine doing. I'd much rather do something like Construction, sewage, etc. than be stuck in a store.

I actually still prefer shopping in stores.  I'm just pleasant to the employees.

My favorite Field Trip was actually when I went to the local mall too.
Actually it was the Planetarium, but it's an outdoor mall, so we're basically 'in' the mall the whole time, and during lunch we were allowed to roam.

One of the last times I got to hang out with my old friends...
