I'm sick of it crashing when I don't want it to.  I even had to install an add-on for spell check, and I have to right click to get it to work.  I'm even enjoying Google Chrome, which I downloaded as a joke, more than Internet Explorer.

So, can I just make this one the default browser and delete that Internet Explorer folder, or would that intercourse  up my computer (I remember some kid on Oldsider tried to do this, he terminated explorer.exe or something like that instead >_>)

i dont think so.  internet explorer also runs your "my computer" search functions to look through your memory drives.

Recycle Bin, then hit permanently delete?
That doesn't work, trust me it's still there if you Permanently delete it from there.

Um...I don't see a mention of Firefox in there.

Use that?

It won't store data on my downstairs computer.  I'll give it a try up here.

....You have to use the Windows disk....

Actually, it's impossible to completely get rid if IE. If you "un-install" it using the Windows disk and then open up "My computer" or any folder in fact, in the address bar you can just type in any old web address and you'll go there, with IE.

And Google Chrome isn't bad, it just uses a tone of RAM. You're better off with Opera or FF though.

WIndows uses IE for various other programs, so, no you can't get rid of it.

The closet thing you can do is set something else as the default browser, and remove any visible shortcuts to it.

Firefox is also a ramhog.
If you want a browser that doesn't take up much memory, use Opera.
