"Wii system update, featuring for example the SD Card fix, is coming in Spring as suggested at the conference last year."

SD card fix?
So it can read SDHC cards now?
a while ago at the Nintendo Conference in Japan, Nintendo said that they were going to fix the storage problem be making it possible for you to download VC or WiiWare games straight to your SD card.

Quote from: WiiWare Worldyou'll be able to directly download games to SD cards. At the moment, the only way to get games on SD cards is to download them to your Wii first and then transfer them to the SD card, meaning you have to create space first, but with an update coming in the spring (At least for Japan), this will no longer be necessary - Just download them straight to the SD card. Of course this still means you'll have to swap games, so it's not really that great of a solution

Oh. I was hoping it'd be about SDHC so we can have 16GB of storage or more. D=

Why don't they just have an update increasing storage.

You can't increase hardware with a software update.
