Cruzer USB Woes

HTA!

Anybody know why my USB is telling me I don;t have the permission to save things on it?

Format it to FAT-32 from NTFS.

That was my problem.

and yes that deletes everything so back it up D:

If i'm not mistaken, it's got an NTFS partition by default. It's a small CDFS partition for the autorun software, and then the NTFS for your data and stuff.

What kind of weird flashdrive manufacturer does that?

lol i dunno.
mine was NTFS when i first got it, but i've since formatted to FAT so I could boot from it :B

That pisses me off a lot. I have one of those and things popup all the time that I don't want.

right click>format the drive.

You can remove the autorun.
open the pad and go to settings>autorun and click the disable button

you could always uninstall the pad from the drive, google it i dun remember. also delete the U3 from your %appdata% directory

Or he could (Vista): Control Panel > Auto Play > Use AutoPlay for all media and devices
