Nayrman

don't you mean DS compatibility?

Allow us to get more character chao! Not just Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles. (I want my non-hacked NiGHTS chao!)
I just want more variety, a better leveling up system, and don't let chao "die" (all that work just to start over despite the stat boosts of the child...bah!)

Does Sonic Chronicles have a Chao Garden?
Chao in the game are treated as just items, not anything like you're familiar with in the Adventure or even Advance games. But there is a garden, in which you can do nothing but see what effects the chao have on your stats.
In technicality, GBA support can still be held on Wii things. Since the Wii remains to have GCN controller ports, or if it's support with physical carts, the DSes with a GBA slot can connect wirelessly. Of course that wouldn't work if any new features are added to the chao themselves.

And, adding more to the chao garden:
  • Make there be more than 5 available garden slots
  • Make the garden download system be... kinda like Spore's Sporepedia. There are the official sega ones as well as user-submitted gardens. Replacing an existing garden with a new one only affects the appearance; chao and items are kept somewhere inside the garden and repositioned via various calculations to make sure they don't go beyond the wall/floor or get stuck inside of something.
  • Make objectives for things like having a certain number of chao, getting your first dark chao, having seen at least a certain amount of chao colors, etc.
  • The features of the Garden Builder grow as you finish certain things in Chao Stadium and objectives.
  • Keep the Chao Transporter, and allow it to move multiple Chao at once between different gardens on the same savefile (and maybe treat SD card as slot B?)
  • Keep "Classic Races", from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (all the maps). Not the SA/DX race.
  • Also have Chao Karate, perhaps other Chao Stadium entries as well.
  • Give rings as prize money for Chao Stadium things and objectives.
  • Keep all the animals from both SA2B and SADX, along with adding more.
  • Make trees live forever, until manually removed in some menu (chao transporter, or perhaps kindergarten). Also, make available seeds for: heart fruit, chao fruit, nuts (neutral garden fruit), dark garden fruit, and hero garden fruit. And any new fruits that may be added.
  • Garden run through WiiWare, but in a similar way to the Mario Kart channel in that its own features can be run without a game disc and that it's integrated (not as much as MK, though) with the Sonic games. Allow online updates, and you're not allowed to play online without updating (no compatibility issues with new features).
  • Remove the randomized aspect of the Black Market, making it keep all items you unlock in stock forever after you unlock them.
  • Unlock items based on objectives and chao stadium. Also unlock any extra items as you get them (i.e. adding new eggs after a new chao color is born).
  • Add some new chao colors, and make all the 'exclusive' chao colors and character-based chao from the past games be obtainable via objectives and stadium.
  • After doing some objective, unlock some blessing or whatever (replace fortune teller with psychic?) that allows immortal chao, but can be removed or readded at will (chao keep two age counters; one is the time-based age, the other is how old they've gotten. Only first one will raise while immortal).
  • Make drives and animals purchaseable in the black market. Again, via objective, stadium, or (if linked Sonic games include them) obtaining it yourself.
  • Perhaps a race map editor. Whether this is limited to where you place the sign-holding Omochao or whether it allows full terrain editing idk.
  • Somebody at the Chao Kindergarten who shows tons of info on things you've seen or done (called Professor, Researcher, or something like that?). Can show you what all animal parts look like, shows the appearance of all chao colors, shows the appearance of all 1st and 2nd evolution forms you've seen (and time sliders, for not-100%-evolved appearances on both), and various other stuff. With previews that allow you to build a temporary 'chao' by selecting the features, so you can use it to determine what your chao will look like when you raise it a certain way.

That's it for now, and again, I put too much effort in these things <3
