I'm being dragged to see it tomorrow. Joy.

Any thoughts or comments on it? I'm not really a fan, so non Trekker input would be nice.

I'm a non Trekkie, and I found it okay. It was a perfectly average movie. It was never horrible, but it was never great either. Like all adaptions, you'll still have to know the basic jist of whats going on (as long as you know the basic premise/character traits, you'll be fine).

The only two things I didn't like was
[spoiler]Spock's and Uhura's "romance"[/spoiler]
and
the whole "alternate timeline" nonsense was the biggest cop out I've seen since Disney was making movies on the "classics" (like Little Mermaid and such. Did you know that the Mermaid in that story actually dies and gets turned into sea slush? It's surprisingly dark. psst, don't tell the kiddies)
