HTA!

Guys... some serious poop just went down.

Windows goes and tells me that it needs to be updated, so I'm thinking "sure why not?"
It just finished and told me it needed to be restarted, and again I thought nothing of it.

Then, on the start up a message comes up saying my profile has some kind of insufficient security and now the proverbial poop has hit the fan,

All my files are gone.
All of them.
What the hell do I do?

Nayrman

time machine it back to yesterday or something. That's all I can think of.

Oh, and lol windows. *couldn't help it*

HTA!

All my programs are in tact I think...
I see something called a system restore might work...

How do I go about doing this?

Matt

Jump up and down while patting your head and singing "I'm a Barbie Girl".

I've tried it, three times.

To no avail...

You didnt make a copy of your hardrive? A backup? Anything? I know of people who can get old deleted files out of computers and restore them. I am not sure it will work for you, but perhaps. Also, did you think to look in the recycle bin?

Recycle bin no, back-up no.
Why the hell should updating ruin all my files?

Anyway, system restore worked, intercourse  Microsoft.
