In Platinum, you find them in the Trophy Garden, but only after Backlot tells you there are some.

Go into the DS and physically change the day until he says there is a Ditto in the garden.
It's a cheap trick but it works XD

I think you use the pokeradar on a certain route and he shows up pretty quickly...
