I'm actually sick of certain spoilers...

I say we ammend the rules, if these have not been included yet (if they are, please tell me that I've been lacking the common sense and give me a few indifferent smileys through a PM, then delete the thread).  And, I know I'm not a mod, they're just suggestions.

I mean, let's say a thread says "All-Star Mode help" or "Boss Mode help!", since they're hidden modes, it's assumed that you know the roster and the bosses of the SSE.  Do I still have to tag the spoilers?  I mean, by those modes, you should have all the characters, or are missing at the MOST three if you are up to Boss Mode.

The SSE, once you click the spoiler tag, and it says a certain area, it is assumed that you know the characters up until that point and in further posts in that thread, they shouldn't need to be mentioned in spoiler tags.  Characters further than that should be mentioned in tags.

I mean, I'm sick of clicking the spoiler tags when I go into a thread for stuff that's common sense, especially when replying and putting my characters and even additional info in spoiler tags.  On a positive note, I'm happy that you guys are obeying the rules more than the Mario board was with Galaxy (some threads having the secret character in the title and the final amount of stars in the post without spoiler tags).

I just needed to get that all out.

A certain amount of common sense is needed by the users of this board. Clearly if you have *spoilers* in the title, it only applies to that topic, and that topic only. From now on in this post, we are gonna assume Fox is a spoiler.

The spoiler warning applies to unlockable characters; nothing more, nothing less. If someone now wants to come in and say that Jigglypuff is the final enemy of the SSE, without a spoiler warning, that is when it is not appropriate.

This warning applies to the Maze, and only the maze. The characters that are unlocked up to this point are assumed to be spoilers (because some people may not know what lies ahead in the Maze), but saying you fight Petey (this is a plot element) first, is not a spoiler, as it pertains to the maze, not unlockables. This may be vague, but you can't shout out "FOX IS IN THE MAZE!"

Now, you don't have to put spoiler tags around the AT names, Hammer Bro for instance, as it is directly in the title.  However, Fox would need a warning due to the obvious.

Ness is NOT a spoiler, so mentioning Fox, Plot elements, etc. needs a spoiler tag EACH POST.



In fact, what I just said, is what has generally been enforced. Some people choose to add tags (so say you have an unlockable character thread, and some puts tags around Fox), and they SHOULD be allowed to. Honestly, that is their prerogative, so, don't whine about that. Some people realize that someone unsuspecting COULD and LIKELY can come along. In fact, these rules only came about as people were whining and/or flooding the board with repeated topics. Truth be told, I was not going to learn of a single spoiler (asides from the obvious; Luigi, Jiggs, etc.) before I became Local. However, it was needed for my rank.

Believe it or not, there are still some naive people. Spoiler warnings exist for a reason.

With that, this thread has come to an end, you lock one, you lock them all. Also, technically the question has been answered to the fullest, meaning it is open game.
