Apple. Who hasn't used one of their machines in some part of their life. While Apple may have struggled throughout the 90's because of the lack of Steve Jobs, they made several awesome computers in the 70's/80's, most notably this Apple II:

One of the first home computers, and one of the most successful, it ran almost completely unchanged from the time the IIe model was released in 1983 until production stopped in 1993.

That's not the computer I got today though, I got the Apple IIGS, the last Apple II model, produced from 1986 to 1992. It's basically a SNES seven years before the SNES came out, at least in terms of 2D graphics and sound, and it had a price tag to match. It was compatible with all previous Apple II software, and had original software of its own. It also had a color GUI before Macintosh, and was the only Apple computer ever made to have a sound synthesizer built in to the board and not a part of pre-installed software.

I got one with a few Imagewriter II printers, a bunch of software, and a few 3.5 and 5.25 inch drives. It's freaking awesome.

But I did get a few other things, too.

In a box was what I thought was just a really big disk drive, but it turned out to be a Macintosh Quadra 605 from 1993! It has a 150 MB harddrive built in, but I have a 250 MB one I can install if I want.

Have you ever owned/used an old Apple computer like these?

I used an old Apple around 1999 in our elementary school library.
So slow, I couldn't even use it. >_>

No love for Apple Pippin?

I see how it is.

Like I said, anything post-Apple IIGS but pre-iMac is pretty much crap, with a few exceptions, such as the Quadra series of Macintoshes.

Oh, and I was talking about their computers. The Pippin was more of a multimedia system that defined how Apple made things in the 90's: overpriced and underpowered. Plus, it almost made Bandai bankrupt, had they not made Tamagochi, they would be owned by Sega.

I know.

Every Apple thread on the topic of Apple's vidja gaems in the past requires the mention of the Apple Pippin. No exceptions.

Wouldn't mind that, actually. Sega ~<3
