The name servers have to be put in through the domain you purchased control panel.  If you own the domain, there should be a control panel for it somewhere on the site of the company you bought the domain from.
well theres no nameserver option on my domain CP. So, i'm just gonna have to find a new site to get my domain ;_;
I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

...are you actually paying for the domain?

the one i found was short and free, but didnt offer nameservers (it was just a redirect url) so i'm trying now to buy a new one that offers nameservers.

Free domains can't be used for SMF, since most of them don't provide nameservers.

alright. i have no real way to pay for one because i'm not old enough for a credit card where i live >_>

I'll just forget it and stick to my redirect URL until I can pay like $10 credit (last i remember domains were $5) >_>

Thanks anyway
