Winamp Skins

So I started using Winamp yesterday and so far it's been pretty good. Only problem is I can't get skins to apply. Downloaded skins, put them in the Skins folder, opened them, a window asking "Are you sure you want to install this skin?" shows up, I press yes, Winamp opens with the default skin.
What am I doing wrong? ;-;
