Sonic to appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2...?

If it's real, it's probably just him in the background, any other implementation of him would be odd, but not unwelcome in a Mario game. At least he would be in a real Mario and Sonic platformer then, and the update does say he is playable...

Yeah as much as I would love for Sonic to be playable in Galaxy 2 I cant see it happening.

Although I could see a Sonic styled Green Hill Galaxy as a sort of tip of the hat to Sega.

Most likely bull, I won't flat out say it's false until we get some word from SEGA or Nintendo, but I really doubt it.
If there IS a Green Hill Galaxy, I wouldn't be surprised if there were subtle hints, but no actual appearances.
