So, to fit with Rob's threads of speedrunning and 100% completion, have any of you ever challenged yourself during a playthrough of any game? i.e, not killing any enemies, using the weakest weapon for the entire game, not taking a hit, not picking up any upgrades, or all of the above.

For me, the 8-Bit Mega Man games get even better by challenging yourself in them. Buster only runs tend to be very fun, unless we're talking about Mega Man 10. You ever limited yourself while playing a game?

The Riddler

I once tried playing through LeafGreen with only the first six pokemon I caught without evolving them.

Was VERY difficult and I gave up.

MoS

I only do 3 heart runs when I play Ocarina of Time, otherwise it's just too easy lol.

Macawmoses

I recently made it my goal to beat all of World 7 in NSMBWii with only 3 lives. Hasn't happened yet, but I'll get there.

The GBA Version of Donkey Kong 2 and 3 have a "ROCKARD" (Rock Hard) mode, where you start each level with both Kongs, but there are no DK or Continue barrels. It's pretty hard, but I can always beat the game anyway (I try to get 102% or 103% - every bonus level, etc.) and I see how quickly I can beat it.
I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

I once attempted to get every item in the ALTTP without returning Zelda to the Sanctuary, but that hit a dead end because Zelda returned after getting the Master Sword.

And I had almost all of them too... ;-;
