Apparently they've done it before, but they did it again this year.  Mountain Dew had a promotion that they released three new flavors to be voted upon.  The winner would become a flavor.  The three flavors were Distortion, Typhoon, and White Out.

Distortion had a "shot of lime".  It was more like a tiny little shot.  It wasn't that noticeable.  It was green as well, so without looking at the wrapper, you would probably miss it.

Typhoon was a tropical flavor.  It tasted similar to the Baja Blast they sell at Taco Bell, but with more cherry.  I would have voted for this flavor if I knew how to.  It was a reddish-orange color.

I haven't tried White Out (guess the color), but BFB said he has in MYL's thread:

Oh, poop, something like this actually did happen to me earlier this summer.  It was with the new Whiteout Mountain Dew.  It combines mountain dew with the white part of a bomb pop.  Delicious.

It's supposed to be a "smooth citrus".  This flavor won.

Did you try any of these flavors?  What was your favorite?  If you haven't, which do you think you would have liked best?
