I think it's just a coincidence, but maybe it's  a hint. Why would a Wii Friend be called Nookway?  ??? Come to think of it, these all are odd names.

FYI, Treehouse is the name of the Nintendo Of America game testing and localization team. So we know where that came from, the rest are likely just random made up names.
