the doors in the original MP rarely take more than two seconds to open.

it slows down, but very, very rarely.

I lol'd when I got to MP3, and got stuck too dang much because the game didn't like my pace. ^_^
Indeed, they did that in MP2, also.
Me too. I doubt it is flawless, I hate waiting 45 seconds for a door to load.
Go through the game slower :x
Except Metroid has been known for it's ease of speed-running since... Hm, the original.
