Smash Bros Connection to Super Paper Mario!

Sorry if this is old or anything but I just found something that hints of Paper Mario!

Remember this image?


Notice the heart shaped handle on her parasol. On first sight, you might think that this is something from Super Princess Peach or something that Sakurai put in. But no.

Look at this:



This is a picture of Peach as she is seen in Super Paper Mario. Notice that her parasol has the same heart-shaped handle as the one seen in Brawl.

Does this hint at anything? Or am I just reading too much into things?
