Well, my job interview at Gamestop went very well. It's really safe to say that I have a job since they not only liked me (and the fact that I was in JROTC in High School), and they also know my older brother extremely well. They're currently full in the store, but they're opening another one in the mall and the Assistant Manager (who said would hire me if he could) is going to have me meet with the manager later this week to discuss working the newly opened one. Woot.

Since I arrived early, I was able to play Super Mario Galaxy for a good half-hour. Game of the intercourse ing year if it holds up any further, and this is to a man who's playing through Bioshock right now and has the Crysis demo. First off is the graphics, which looks like a 360 game. Yes, save resolution they pulled it off here. And if anyone laughs at that statement, I want you to shove your boot up their ass until they taste leather in the back of their throats. The textures are highly detailed, jaggies are practically non-existent, water and particle effects are stunning all while the game runs at a silky-smooth and undisturbed 60 frames per second. The music? Orgasmic in fully-orchestrated glory. The Airship theme in general was just spectacular.

The game itself takes a bit getting used to since the controls in space are unlike anything you've played. But by the end of the first few minutes you'll have them down pat in no time. Gravity alone is fun as hell to mess around with. Mario controls better than ever, and just from the first 4 stars alone the game puts you to the test of navigating the plumber through various obstacles. The scopes of the levels are enormous; every star is a new adventure and takes you down a new route to hop across different planetoids. Perhaps the best thing that makes this game seem so great is the nostalgia; screw Super Mario Sunshine, this game possesses the feel we always wanted the sequel to SM64 to have. I was grinning like an idiot the whole time because the game was an absolute joy; it made me love Mario while at the same time making things new again. I chuckled, and even muttered a few "OH SHI--"s when I led Mario into a few black holes to his death.

I'm a believer. I get a job and I played SMG. The only reason the day isn't perfect is because I slipped and twisted my ankle while walking home.
Feast on my justice.

Hm, sounds like you had a good day.

I really need to get a job. I really should go to one of the GameStops and see if they'll hire me...

I sure wish I could work at a game store.  There are absolutely no game places in the town I live in.  If they're are, then I don't know anything about them.

Geno

At that rate you should be getting laid tonight  :O
