So I make a thread on the serious discussion board on Nsider2 about living with bi-polar disorder.  One users is saying you can get rid of it.

Well, the point is that while meds certainly help for a time, but when you're no longer able to take them, or if/when you become tolerant to them, the problem is simply left to fester there, hidden for those years and becomes worse.  While bipolarity may run in the family, it's not unavoidable and I think you should consider trying to find a way around the disorder and the medications.  They've ruined lives before.  While it may take a little effort on your part, I promise you'll be in much better shape when you do actually conquer the issue rather than just cover it up.

It's your choice, of course, but I know a bit when it comes to this and wouldn't trust my sanity to any mindless artificial depressants.  Sorry for being persistent.

You can't fix being bi-polar.  I have no idea where you're getting this from.  It's not something you can work to get rid of.  Meds don't cover it up either.  They help stabilize the chemicals in the body so that a person can actually function. 

You think people can just get better? You think that disabilities and diseases can go away if a person "works" at it.  So then how does one get rid of cancer without doing radiation? Oh that's right they CAN'T -_-

I wouldn't say that is tiny.  Someone saying the wrong med name that's tiny.  Someone saying that you can cure a disease by "working" at it.  Come on that's just plan stupid.

Yes it was necessary because I'm expressing myself.  What are we suddenly not allowed to express our opinions here?  Did I miss something?  Everyone is allowed to be upset from time to time.  Age doesn't factor in to that. -_-
