Hm, I wonder what type of 'complete games' you'll be able to download...

Speaking with the New York Times, Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime has offered a little more info on the Wii's ability to interact with the DS. While we already know that the Wii will be able to download and transmit DS demos to the handheld, we now also know that you'll soon be able to download full games to your DS. While discussing the demo download feature, as well as DS DLC (like Japan, the US version of Professor Layton will feature extra downloadable puzzles), he tells the paper that gamers will be able to download "complete games" to the DS via the Wii's upcoming Everyone's Nintendo channel. No further info is provided, on the channel's Western launch or what kind of "complete games" he's talking about, but does this mean the Game Boy and/or Game Boy Advance might about to be added to the Virtual Console's lineup?

Does the DS have enough internal memory? I guess for older games, but you would either have to by a blank card to hold them on, or transmit save data back to the Wii.

My guess is that Nintendo will re-launch the Play-Yan, but that's my opinion.

Maybe. Guess we'll see. On a seperate note, did you get a DS/Wii yet?

I'm planing on getting a DS around the 19th next month and Wii maybe in March or April.

[spoiler]I would get both next month, but this is more important:

I was planning on getting a PS3, but my main reason for getting one was backwards compatibility, which 40 GB lacks, IIRC.

Yep, but my PlayStation 2 works just fine.

If I had extra money, I wouldn't mind purchasing one of those new PlayStation 2s so I could play Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+...

I have PS2 at my dad's house, but I only get to use it bi-weekly so it kind of sucks. I got Tales of the Abyss for Christmas and still haven't played it. TT-TT
I suppose I'll have to try for a 60 GB on eBay or something.

Says hello, it'll be just as much as an 80 GB and you won't have to worry about it being used.
