I don't get what everyone has agianst Jigglypuff  :|

She isn't a clone, she is one of the most popular Pokemon and she played a reasonbably large roll in the anime (and DON'T say the anime doesn't mean anything, how do you think Pikachu and Mewtwo got in?)

I don't have anything against her, and I think she's returning. Her role in the anime, however, is just about obsolete now, since not even Meowth is playable, and he's Pikachu's antagonist.

yeah seriously. pikachu got in because he is the main pokemon "emblem".
he starred in several games.
mewtwo on the other hand was the rare and one of the most powerful pokemon in the games. that is one reason why he made it.
jigglypuff on the other hand was made famous by the anime show and was later cut. ouch.

i wish they wouldve added meowth though, cause he had his own game too.

Much of Pokemon's success came from the Misty era of anime, so it does play a big part in who gets in. Note 'does'. People's favorite pokemon tend to have big anime roles. Mewtwo had two movies, Pichu had several shorts, and Pikachu... well duh. I feel that Meowth's exclusion was due to other Pokemon making an appearance. If Meowth was in, I think Jigglypuff would have been cut for sure since she is all but non-existant in the anime now, but Sakurai brought her back for old times' sake; unlike Ness, she can't be easily replaced by a similiar character.

i just think meowth deserved it more cause he had Meowths Party.
