I have several games in my collection that would be considered unappreciated but one that is my favorite has to be Panzer Dragoon Orta. A sequel to the Sega Saturn games, this game is truely one of the best games for the original X-Box. It had great visuals as well as controls and really had one of the best stories you will ever find in a game.

So what about you all what are your gems?

Aladdin for the SNES.

I hear you laughing in the background. Aladdin was actually a good platformer, if a little short. Some of the stages still kick my ass.
Humanity what have you ever done for me?
Denounced and cursed since my birth for I am not like thee
A proud descendant of the ancient seed
Driven forth by the screams of my enemies
I am the plague that shall grace you with an early grave
Exterminate - brought you all into darnation
A genocidal warmachine
Grinding down all of you who dared to challenge me

Dewprism. The poor game was so overshadowed by Final Fantasy, It didn't have a chance.
But Dewprism was awesome, It had some really great soundtracks, the real time battle system was nice, but It was really short.
Your computer is unable to compute me.

I got several, Panzer Dragoon Orta is a dang game by the way.

For the PC, I'd have to go with Freespace 2

Freespace 2 is the most refined and well designed space combat simulation. One of the things that really sets Freespace 2 apart is that the capital ships you encounter are actually well armed and dangerous, serving to be more than large hunks of cannon fodder, they can tear your ship apart in seconds, you have no hope taking the larger ones down without being in a bomber with a couple of other bombers at your back.
When capital ships face off in combat, it's simply beautiful, the beam cannons and the way they SLICE  and freaking disintegrates their targets is still an impressive graphical effect even after more than seven years.

For the X-Box, there's an awful lot of under appreciated titles, but Oddworld:Stranger's Wrath will have to be my favorite.
The live ammo system adds a lot of character to the game, even if the live ammo itself tend to resemble staple FPS weapons. The level design is great, it allows you the player to decide how you're gonna beat a level, if you want to just take the house down with boom bats, you can do that, if you rather sneak around, knocking out enemies with your fists and taking them alive, you can do that too.

Then there's the plot twist, my word, the plot twist. From that point on, the game's storyline becomes nothing short of epic and the gameplay becomes more action packed too.

For the Gamecube and Wii, my favorite under apreciated titles are the Battalion Wars games.

The gameplay is simply unique, rarely do I play a game that feels so fresh as the original.

While perhaps not as hard as the Advance Wars series, the strategy still makes you think. Allowing you to play as a single unit and get into the action yourself is what makes this game feel even more intense.
