How Fast Is Your Internet?

my wireless can go up to 54, but right now i have 1/4 bars of strength, but i cant tell how fast im going with the software i have

Thats what you get if you are wirelessly using our internet, with it connected to the computer we get 100mbps.

According to my wireless thing, 54.0mbps, but Windows isn't usually accurate. If my wireless client were working, I could tell you more accurately.
But Windoze says:
Speed: 54.0mbps
Signal strength: Low
Status: Connected

Guys, 54mbps is how fast you get data FROM THE ROUTER. Not your actual internet connection.

Mine is something like 52kb/s down and 20kb/s up. Yes, it's poopty DSL. :(

Also, so everyone realizes, mbps and mb/s are different. One is bits, one is bytes. Divide the former by 8 to get the real number.  :robotveryhappy:

Oh, I thought the difference was mbps and Mbps (or MB/s and Mb/s), where the latter is bits?
