What, to you qualifies as a 'good update'?

I keep seeing people say 'today's update was crap' every single day. So I'm wondering what you think qualifies as a good update.

To me I like: Characters, SSE vid/info, stages, and game mode (Wifi, Stage builder, etc.).

something new and fresh things i learned just from the website that wasn't known already or was common sense.
updates like that would be around a 4/5 for me but characters would definitely be 5/5 on the update scale. That is what people want :)

A good video, character, stage I wouldn't have expected, or SSE...no "game mode" or "how to play" crap I can read in the game manual X_X;;
