Some of it is very good, actually. Golden Sun: The Lost Age's ending theme really stood out to me as excellent. And Super Mario Galaxy has one of the best video game soundtracks ever devised.

Some of it is well composed and perfectly fits the game. I won't deny that it's a big part of the game's feeling. But I don't see why anyone would enjoy it while they aren't playing the game.

Also, if you listen to video game music but barely listen to a small bit of stuff that isn't VG music, you're a supernerd.
