I was thinking of using him first when I get SSBB, but screw that. It's back to Link I suppose... but I notice that whoever was being Ike wasn't grabbing enough, and didn't use his Counter (Down+B)

Ike is actually really good. He beat Dedede more than Dedede beat him.

Actually, considering it longer than average reach and quite high power, the slowness is rather justified, but for a power character, his moves are actuallly pretty fast. Looking at the atack speed Ike is actually consdierablly faster in quite a few areas. Unfortunatley, DDD hardly does much outside of his chainthrow and spam Waddles, so I can't quite compare the two yet, but for power characters both seem quite good.

You might be right... Ganondorf is my best character in Melee, and people often credited me by how fast I made hm look because I was so good with him. I suppose if I learn how to use Ike the same way I used Ganondorf, the same thing could happen.

He does seem quite powerful, it's just that it looks as though his attacks leave quite a bit more lag than what Ganondorf's did.
