I believe San Diego is bigger than LA. I was just in both about two weeks ago.

In what way? LA is the 2nd most populous city in the country and certainly has more going on in the political and economic ends.

San Diego is on the border of Tijuana, so it looks like one giant city. San Diego's big, but not as much as L.A.
