Not only is it one of the best Metroid games (Stands against Metroid Prime), it is one of the best SNES games.

I actually prefer the GBA Metroid games more. >_>

I can understand why you might think that.  It never tells you where to go, some of the mechanics feel methodical, not as smooth, but I'm used to it.  Get past that feeling, and know where your abilities can take you, and it's one heck of a game.
