Seriously, this game was made to educate children.

Yet more controversy about the controversial game called Imagination is the Only Escape.

This one includes an interview with a Holocaust survivor.

One of his quotes is as follows:

?This is not educational. Holocaust education should not be done through games of this nature. People can read and watch things about the Holocaust, they do not need these kinds of games.?

So are games special in a way that they cannot educate? I respect this guy, but does he know how many WWII video games there are and how many other types of media deal with the Holocaust?

Not to mention that kids are more likely to pick up a controller than a documentary or a book. :-\

Yet if it involves any use of racism, children or people might pick it up if they take it the wrong way. There are many ways to learn about the Holocaust, there is no need for a educational game for the Holocaust. Like I said children or people might pick up the wrong idea, if they don't read, see, or learn a complete understanding in school or a book.

Honestly, I really think this should be released. The Holocaust is, at least to me, one of the most interesting sections of the most interesting period in history. Nintendo, instead of basically saying, "um no never happened. MARIO PARTY ^____^" , should welcome the opportunity to educate children and adults alike on a serious historical event.

I heard it might come to WiiWare since Nintendo allows any type of game on it as long as it isn't like Custer's Revenge HD. :P

Or maybe if all else fails, it will be a downloadable PC game.

HTA!

I... tend to agree with the guy a little....

Has the memory of the Holocaust faded so much that we need this?
Its ridiculous that kids would get more info from a game rather than reading a book, that is certain.

Games being a viable means for info my arse.
Given the choice of Books or Games, books need to be picked every time...

Not that this should be unreleased..... but come on this is not a "lolz serious knowledge" game here.....

Here's a little tip:

The plot is basically 100% stolen from Pan's Labyrinth, it just replaces revolution with the Holocaust.

Also, Carmen Sandiego, Oregon Trail, etc;

Look up the plot.

It is about a girl who escapes the violence of a revolution through her own mind.

Saw previews a while back...
Never got around to seeing it.
