I'm stuck in half-life 2 >_>

I'm at the beginning... I just blew up a bunch of explodey barrels, and beneath me there's a water resrevoir with a pipe.  that pipe leads to the room beside me, which I can get to as well (by stacking barrels & jumping), but the room is split.  The room that I can get into has nothing in it but alot of pipes and a wooden crate.  The water in the initial room has too little water for me to be able to reach the pipe.  Also, even if I were able to bring the wooden box up the ladder, into the water resrevoir room, down the other ladder, and into the water, I still wouldn't be able to get enough height off of it in order to reach the pipe to access the other room.

I have no idea what to do.  can someone help? o_O

It's because you suck, HL2 is easy. Use video walkthroughs on Youtube, they're more exact than text walkthroughs.

There's a water valve at the bottom of the room with all the pipes.

For example

Now I know where you are! This took me like an hour because I couldn't get my jump timed right ;-;

I'd have to go get screenshots etc. to make it more precise, but in one of the valves there's a knob thing, and yoiu have to keep turning that, and that'll open a door underwater, I believe.

So yes, go into that area with all the pipes.
