Advance Wars: Days of Ruin was claimed to be harder than past installments, do you think this is true? I personally think it is on par.

This brings me to my true point; is Nintendo trying to appeal to the hardcore gamer via handheld, and the casual via console? Share your thoughts, examples would be nice, as well. Contrapositives, as well.

It does seem as though the DS is getting all the good stuff.  I'm not complaining, though; it's much more convenient and I've always liked the DS more.

Well I still think that the Ds is staying the same but with a couple harder more complex games.

I agree mack. DS games seem to be getting harder. But, even so, I would hardly call The system "hardcore".
Betrayal, even unwilling, will sometimes be forgiven, but oftentimes the friendship will never heal, and the lost trust will never be regained.

I think the difficulty makes it more fun! Strategy games are usually better when they are more fun :)
