Why Funky Kong? (MKW)

If you look at all/most of the world records on Mario Kart Wii, they are used with Funky Kong on that one bike (IDK what it's called).
Why is that?

I like using Funky Kong.
I never really thought about why I select him each time.

Possibly because it has the max top speed over jumps I believe...

All characters have certain bonuses in certain stats.  Funky kong has the highest speed stat bonus of any character.  So there you go.

Funky Kong and Flame Runner?

It is the best character/vehicle combo, heavy wise.  Some say the whole game though.  Definitely has a LOT of speed.  I tend to use Waluigi instead, so it doesn't look like I'm on the bandwagon. :D

It's because Funky gets a +2 speed and other atributes that make him good for time-trials. Daisy is also one of the newer ones being used in alot of them as well.

Bah, I'm still a Mario user, all the way through.

IDK if he (Funky Kong) gets a +2 speed stat.  Mario has always been my character for MK games, and always will be.

Besides, Heavy Karters have never been my forte.  Acceleration is too slow, as is off-road capability.  Handling hasn't always been top notch, either, which is why I prefer Medium characters.  Nice and well balanced.

I haven't unlocked him yet. But I usually use the medium characters. Mostly Luigi. :P
