Screaming purple madness...

My screen is suddenly getting a purple tinge near the top, what do I do?  :-X

My method is by smacking it senselessly. Of course, it usually doesn't work, so I call my dad over to fix it.

The problem seems to be my cable in the back, as jiggling it affects the tint...

Oh and im gonna say CRT  ????
