So, this computer NEVER boots as the Owner. It always logs me onto a temporary profile, which is annoying, because it deletes files that were saved to the previous temp owner. Even logging out and signing in as Owner really doesn't work because it just switches back when I turn the computer back on.

So, should I just do System Restore, or something?

I think that might work. Though you probably should wait for a computer person to reply. :P

just go to users, turn off the guest account, and make a new account.
If that doesn't work... hold on gotta boot to my xp partition.

Start+run>control userpasswords2>if the box for "users must enter a username and password to logon" is unchecked, check that to disable auto logon.

I saw a fix for this somewhere...
I think you just need to System Restore.

well if it never does/has done what he wants it to, system restore isn't going to do much.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am running Vista.

Might as well try System Restore...

As am I.
Personally, I'd make another account.
Log onto the Owner Acc, startmenu>Control Panel>Add/Remove Accounts
Make a new one.

err, how long's it been doing this?
