Just interested, it was kinda dissapointing in the end, but the online was really solid. Sadly I felt like the game didnt supply me with enough units for me to crush so that I could get my characters to tip top shape for online ='(

Macawmoses

I have it, but I've hardly delved into it. It really hasn't gripped me yet....I'll need to get to playing it soon. Really need to write some reviews.

And I've heard mixed opinions about online.

Online is solid, I mean considering there wasnt online before there really is no reason to complain. And yeah story is kinda weak, and its to...'free" so to speak. Because you can change your character's classes all the time, it just makes things so messed up....also mages pwn all normal units, and still do good damage to other mages NOT FAIR. Id write a review but I feel like Im not passionate enough about the game to be able to enjoy it.

Macawmoses

Eh, online being new still isn't an excuse for less than perfect. Star Fox Command, for instance, was decent....but so much more could have been implemented.

Reviews don't require passion either way, it just helps.

yeah but keep in mind this was there first time, and it was pretty good, I will have high expectations for the next online FE title, but for now I am content. Only thing I wish is that I could chose if I wanted fog on the stages or not.

This exactly. I'm on the fifth chapter, but I just...stopped.

This too. It kinda worried me when I actually bought it.

...I stopped playing at about Chapter 15...>,>...
...Too many noobs to shoot in Call of Duty...

...I should start playing again...
...As for the classes, I agree; it's far too complex and I don't understand it/ want to understand it/ use it...
...But I might in the future...

I have it, and beat it. It's not bad, but it's not particularly great either. But it's pretty good when you consider that it was originally on the NES.

Although I don't see the point in the whole "reclassing" system. It's complicated and unnecessary.

Its not a new addition, and its not complicated,

Here is how it works.
Each class has base stats, for an example lets say a class has 5 strength and 10 speed at base.
When you change your character to that class, their old base stats (say 3 strength and 12 speed) are changed. So your strength will go up 2 and speed will go down 2.
However, the stats you received through leveling up do not go away.

So, the main idea behind class changing is that you can influence what stats your unit will get when leveling up.
When you level up, the probability of you getting a certain stat is known as a growth rate. Your class determines your growth rates.

There are also base growth rates...
But for simplicities sake lets just say that if you were to be a General, you have more chance of getting a defense stat up than if you were a Berserker.

Hero's have high base stats, but low growth rate bonuses.
Generals have low base stats (except for Def.) but high growth rates, specifically in defense and HP.

I have it and I'm enjoying it a lot right now actually. But it certainly isn't as good as the more recent Fire Emblem. I'm definitely hoping they make a remake of Marth's 2nd game because I hear it's much better.

I have it, but I lost interest in playing it about a week into having it. It didn't capture me like the other handheld FEs did. It might be due to the lack of character development, or the paper-cup thin plotline. Either way, it simply didn't captivate me.
Holy crap all my sigs were always poop. Best leave this space alone.
