Super

Dreamcast is awesome.

I'm glad I still have one.

The controller is kind of awkward, though.

Despite being terribly overrated by its crazed fanboys, the Dreamcast isn't a terrible console. It's just that its library of good games never reached that high of a point. The Saturn shares that same problem. Not lack of power, just...lack of games. I suppose the lack of support from 3rd parties is a good reason for that.

Not many people know I was actually a big Sonic fan before I was ever big on Mario. I still have my Sega Genesis and play it from time to time.

While I never owned a dreamcast, I have seen and played one as my friend across the street had one. It was an impressive system, but it got overshadowed and was ahead of it's time. The memory cards alone were something unheard of by being a system themselves. That's right, some don't know the memory cards doubled has handhelds, allowing you to play some games on the go.

If I was offered one, I'd buy it to say I have one, but I probably wouldn't care much. I still like the Genesis and what they were able to do with that system was impressive. Very few people realize that we can thank Sega for the online gaming we have today as Sega was the first to explore the area. These "Online Marketplaces" lead back to Sega with the Genesis and the Sega Channel. I was fortunite enough to be a subscriber to Sega Channel.

And on one last note, Crazy Taxi is no longer a reason to bother with Dreamcast as it's out on other systems now.

I never had a Dreamcast. I owned a Sega Genesis for a little bit, though. We only had Ms Pac-Man, Sonic & Knuckles, and some bike game though.
YEAH

Oh, and just a funny thing.

The Dreamcast was released exactly four years after the original Playstation came out in America.  :D

-interesting notes-

*The dreamcast is not more powerful than the PS2, it's CPU and GPU are weaker, the discs hold less data, etc.

*While it can't play DVDs, it can play VCDs (with attachment)

*If the controller bothers you there are DC to PS2 controller adapters

*With utility discs made by Bleem (defunct) one can play Gran Turismo 2, Tekken 3, and Metal Gear Solid with high resolution graphics on the Dreamcast

*Independent companies are still releasing content

*Unreleased games such as Propeller arena and Half Life are available for download

*Great homebrew community.

Oh, I almost forgot this too.

Surprised that Nomad had the power.

I actually remember seeing a test where a site installed a fresh new car battery in a car and used the car adapter for the Nomad, and the battery was drained within a few hours.  :D

Oh, and there's a link cable to connect a Dreamcast to a Neo Geo Pocket Color.

Propeller Arena is awesome. Of course there's a great homebrew community, even though they made it so games were on a proprietary format, they let it read CD-Rs with no copy protection.

That would be awesome if they rereleased it and started printing discs again...
