I personally like Russia's and China's the most, but America, Canada, France, and Australia also rank high on my list, even if Waltzing Matilda would have been hilarious as the Australian National Anthem.

It would be the equivalent of This Land is Your Land being America's National Anthem.  :D

Oh, and listen to the awesomeness of the Russian National Anthem:

For about two years my ringer was the USSR National Anthem. There's a funny story about that involving a Catholic wedding, a very confused caller, and a red-faced pastor (which I hear is like spotting a shiny Pokemon these days).

Also, I'm pretty sure they changed national anthems after the fall of the Soviet Union, Tuppin. I highly doubt the current Russian anthem is singing about the glory of Lenin's genius and Stalin's fearlessness.

They changed the lyrics, not the song itself. It talks about the beauty of the land and their non-Soviet history.

They actually adopted it in 2000, the one they had from the fall of the Soviet Union to 2000 was called The Patriotic Song.

Here's the lyrics of the one they have now translated.
Russia — our sacred stronghold,
Russia — our beloved country.
A mighty will, a great glory —
Your heritage for all time!

Chorus:
Be glorious, our free Fatherland,
Ancient union of brotherly nations,
Ancestor-given wisdom of the people!
Be glorious, country! We take pride in you!

From the southern seas to the polar region
Spread our forests and our fields.
You are the only one in the world! You are the only one of a kind —
Native land protected by God!

Chorus

A broad expanse for dreams and for lives
Is opened to us by the coming years.
Our devotion to our Motherland gives us strength.
So it was, so it is, and so it will always be!

Chorus
Also, link to that story.

mmm I have the Famous Russian Choir singing the original in 1943 somewhere.

I should go dig up that mp3 and listen to it again.
