Laptop or desktop?

Well I want a laptop because of portability and less need of space(small room till my room is painted and the ceiling gets sanded.).Also most of them come with a mic and a webcam.

But right now I'm buying some things I need to fix up a desktop so at least I have one to myself.
so I prefer a laptop but I wont relay need one until colledge.

I want a desktop for the sake of power and changeability on it, but Laptops are so much more useful for anything except gaming D:
