Yeah, I just got back from my 2nd Guitar Hero tournament ever, and I won. It was quite an intense time, because the 3 people I faced off against were really good. Rather than determine winners by score, the sponsors did it by percentage, and score broke ties. It was best 2 out of 3 per matchup, which was good. I played Story of my Life, School's Out, When You Were Young, Kool Thing, Black Sunshine, and Cherub Rock. I won each of them, some of them by a very narrow margin. I think I won School's Out by 2 measly notes.
The grand prize was a $100 Target gift card, and I made $2 more by beating Lou on Hard for someone.

I won one at the library... $15 at the local mall... I used it to help buy Guitar Hero III, I think. xP

There was at least 3 GH3 at my school last year but you had to pay to enter and there were no prizes that I knew of... >_>
Also, I thought you said the tournament was GH2?

No, I haven't. There was one in my town back in March, and I didn't hear about until pretty much the last hour you could possibly sign up, and my mom wouldn't drive me to the store to sign up. (Damn them for not letting me sign up over the phone.)

No i haven't they have them but they are only hard difficulty (boring) and that means you have to pretty much 100% every song you play to win, and it's boring.
