I've been considering Wii Speak, but I have a few questions.

1. It can be used out of game, correct? - Yes, it can be used outside of game. The WiiSpeak channel will be released in December according to the box of WiiSpeak.
2. What games, outside of AC:CF and the Conduit, currently/will use it? - None announced so far.
3. Is it good quality sound, and the like? - From what I've used it so far, the other person came in clear.

I'm curious to know if it is worth my money.

Other then the bolded areas in the qoute, the only thing I can add is the fact that I wouldn't get it unless you have ACCF/Plan on getting The Conduit. I just see Nintendo tossing this one away like all the other useless periphrials... or however you spell it.
They only made it so they can say: "HERE'S YOUR dang VOICE CHAT STUPID ACTUAL GAMERS LEAVE US ALONE!"
At least thats how I think it came about...I'm  still waiting for my headset...
HAAA HA HA HA HA HA!! :D
I guess those thousands upon thousands of E-mails and phone calls finnally paid off, eh Nayr? ;)

I'm only willing to get that thing is if a lot of People here get it...
and it works for games like Smash and what not!

Other then that I can wait for a better game to come out and then buy it.
I want to see what so many people sound like from here.
^_^
more like if they didn't get Voice chat they were going to be officially crowned "worst gaming system for actual gamers ever" award.
And you already know what I sound like X_X;;
Yeah, but I want to know what you sound like when I beat you at Smash. :P

I haven't played smash in a long time. I'm playing ToS2, did ya get it?
Wii Speak isn't compatible with smash, and I don't play many RPG's
Ewww!

Then the urge for me getting this product has been pretty much deleted. :|
Star, don't you think that could have been told before when SSBB came out?

StarWindWizard7

It could of been, but it wasn't.

Also if you can find a friend who wants animal crossing but cant get a ride you can buy it and keep the wii speak that comes with it and sell the friend the game for $50.You save 20 bucks and your friend gets a game he wanted without having to pay for shipping.  ;)

Someone tell me if I'm wrong, but I think the WiiSpeak actually does have headset capabilities... There's an option for it in AC O_O

I was hoping that maybe you could connect to people on WiiSpeak via Wi-Fi through the Home Menu (which means you could talk to someone anywhere on the Wii). That way, you can talk to people while Brawling online or something :P :P

Meaning Nintendo would never do it. Seriously, they're worse than SEGA when it comes to using new ideas correctly...

The only real good game that would work with Wii speak will probably be the conduit.....

Yeah but for a game like that (FPS), i would want a headset in online play/chat, also it looks like 3rd parties are stepping up to fill nintendo's gap of non-hardcore games

because god only knows if Nintendo will do it themselves.
"Hey Nintendo, why not make both so you please everyone?" (with regards to the headset)
"Why would we do that? People don't want headsets!"

And nintendo just doesn't want their hands dirty so they won't release any M rated games

At this point I'm surprised they'll make T games...
after all Metroid is made by american developers, so basically the only consistant one of Teen is Zelda X_X;;
I wan't to see: "DO A FUCKING BARREL ROLL BITCH!"
