Strong Bad's Cool Games For Attractive People

Now that the last of the SBCG4AP games are out, i want to look back and discuss the games.

Episode 1- Homestar Ruiner

Homestar ruiner was the first SBCG4AP. It introduced the series well, i think. You want to answer an e-mail by ruining homestar's day, but he gets sad and stays at you house, so you need to get him out. Also you compete in the race to the end of the race for the silver trophy of ultimate destiny. Which you need to fool coach z into thinking you're homestar to participate. I think this game was okay, the only thing i found annoying was when you get the metal detector you need to find the shovel too, and when you get near to items with it StrongBad had to stop and say stuff like 'getting warmer'. I was glad to see both of these issues fixed in the next installment.

Episode 2- Strongbadia The Free
An interesting episode of SBCG4AP, the king of towns comes and taxes Strong Bad's e-mails, which makes him secede and form a new country to try and take over the king of towns. Of course everyone else, including your good buddy the cheat, make new countries and you go around trying to annex them to Strongbadia. Once you get everyone on you side, except Bubs, whose country of concessionstandtinople is neutral, you take over the the king, but then realize it's not all that fun and try to get him back on the throne. This game fixed the metal detector annoyance, mentioned earlier, and the many glitches of episode 1. Also this is the first time you see strong sad's room, excluding the tutorial.

Episode 3- Battle Of The Bands
Oh no, the fun machine is broken, and strong bad needs a big sack of cash to fix it. Remembering his Limozeen Game he decides to host a battle of the bands. After gettin Limozeen as celebrity judges and a security guard, he goes to sign up some bands. Like episode 2, you have to persuade each band to join you. Once the contest starts though, you find out the other bands are better and you set out to sabotage them so you will win. I think this game didn't have as many things to do and was a little short. In this game, strong mad's room, marzipan's house, and the bathroom became avaiable places to go. Also, where was the poopsmith in this game? Nowhere to be seen.

Episode 4 - Dangeresque 3

If you are a fan of Strong Bad's e-mail, then you know it has been a joke of when dangeresque 3 would come out. In the earlier episodes you see a poster about it, but now you get to play it. You start out with stronbad with the finished tape of dangeresque, you play as dangeresque/strong bad and start out in your office. Your first client is marzipan/cutesey buttons. She needs you to get some formula for her, you go with coach z/ronaldo and find it, but ronaldo crushes it. Then you set out to make the formula again, which takes up most of the game. At the end you defeat your rival Craig, Perducci shows up and causes some trouble when you try to get you true love back for a ruby. After that it goes back to real life, where everyone has something bad to say about the movie, and that is where it cliff-hangs. This is a really good episode, it has all the characters and brings a new twist to the series.

Episode 5 - 8-Bit Is Enough

The last episode, it was a great run Strong Bad. Well when everyone was arguing with you from episode 4, you jump and break the trodor machine, even though it was already broken. Once you insert the broken logic board, everything goes wacko and the game world collides with the real one and trogdor is loose. You find youself traveling between real and game world, trying to add people to your party, and get the trog-sword, which is used to vanquish trogdor to set everything back to normal. This game was awesome. Making fun of some 8-bit games and using the normal SBCG4AP point and click formula was great.

Well, that's all the storylines of all the games, now onto the fun machine games and collectibles. I'm going to focus more on the games than the collectibled.

Episode 1- Snake Boxer 5 was exactly what i suspected for the fun machine game, it was somewhat of a challenge, especially if you didn't find the secret cheat on the last page of the manual. Using the 'play ss snake cheat' you can easily defeat your opponent without getting hurt, just hold right to charge up your flame attack, which takes away alot of health, and use it when the opposing snake gets near, he can't hurt while you're charging up either. The collectibles are cool, you get to keep that mask of homestar and you collect manual pages.

Episode 2- Maps and minions, this game isn't even played on the fun machine but on a board in the king of town's castle. It definetly offers a challenge as you have to group certain characters together to keep them from moving. Your goal is to get to the castle withe the King of Towns, and prevent homestar from getting to your home base. The cutscenes when you attack enemies are funny. This one was a challenge for me, to get the good score (It's green on your achievments) you have to get the KoT to his castle in 9 turns, pretty hard. There is a game played on the funmachine though, Algebros Math Kickers. You walk around punching and shooting energy balls. You can find different moves by getting the combination on a manual page. This game is also easily exploited unfortunately, just keep doing the polar coordinates move, it practically kills everyoneon the screen. For the colectibles, you get algebros manual pages and different strongbadian country flags.

Episode 3- Battle of the bands has a not so good game, you move around and beam up hot pixelated babes your tractor beams. The costume items of Limozeen are pretty cool though. And again with the manual pages.

Episode 4- You find your fun machine to be in the professer's lab for a rocket simulator. That rocket simulator is space circus adventure. You tap any of the directional pads to avoid the circus food. You shoot your blasters at clowns and your bubbles at space circus creatures. If you get hit by not clicking something soon enough, your shields go down, even animals can hurt you. You have to travel from planet to planet by getting the required number of animals saved. Once you go down the list of planets, including pluto ftw, and the sun, you get to the black hole. The speed of the stuff coming at you keeps getting faster with every level you pass, the black hole keeps repeating though once you beat it. This game is pretty cool, but easy, you could easily make it to the black hole without losing your shields once. For the collectibles, no manual pages for once, there are customized bullets for you to find instead.

Episode 5- The last game leaves me off on a bad note, Gel-Arshies Surfing sucks. You collect fruit that keeps your bubble bigger while professor pinaple shhots yellow rings at you trying to pop your bubble. You can do tricks on the board, but i have no idea how. You get more points as you get a streak of fruit without getting hit. This game wasn't hard for me, all i did was stay in the upper left, collect the fruit easily because you act like fruit magnet, and jump over the rings shot at you. They didn't even seem to affect you even if it looked like the ring hit you. For collectibles, i really liked the pixelated costume items.

Dangeresque 3 was brilliant. I was so excited, especially since on the website Strong Bad always hinted at his 'movie' and there was a trailer and everything. xD It was so amazing.
