Vista issues (again)

Whenever my computer is playing any sort of sound that loops back and starts at the beginning (for example, tank music in Left 4 Dead, YTMNDs, music on Songbird), there is a period of time when the sound cuts out, then cuts back in to where the song would have been had it been playing the entire time.  For some things, this happens for just a couple of seconds.  for others (left 4 dead) it can take up to a few minutes.

any idea what the problem is?

That's a QuickTime issue. Blame Apple. :\ I have the same issue on any Windows computer I use.

Vista != XP!  So its compatible issues between quicktime and vista.  Quicktime  works fine on XP, but not always on Vista.  See quictime for  support, or find a new media player.

Considering it's a game, I don't think he can change its media player.  Unless there's a media player that works just like Quicktime for games.

I read Kodiak's post.  If it's a game than it can be due to issues with Vista's Administration or not enough process/ram resource for the game.  Vista does hog a lot of process resources.  You may need a bigger cpu.  For ram, just increase your virtual memory.
