I've been trying to expand my Gamecube library recently because I had such utter crap when it was the current gen console.

For some reason, I haven't been able to find some of the "big name" titles of the GCN.

However the other day, I walked into GameStop, took a look at the GCN section, and found Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat (I still can't believe I never had Sunshine and WW.)

Sunshine was $17
Wind Waker was $18
Jungle Beat was $13

Now I'm not one who likes to shop for Used Games. If there's an option, I always prefer to buy New games. Just a quirk of mine, I guess. However when I have to I will.

Unfortunately I couldn't buy any of the games because I didn't have the money.

So I'd like to know if those were good deals or not, so if by any chance, I find them again, I'll be able to buy them.

My family doesn't like to buy from eBay, so that probably isn't an option.

If they come with the original box and manual with the original cover, it's a good deal.

If it however, comes in a Gamestop case with a replacement cover and no manual like I'm pretty sure it does, no. My advice would be to look around for mom and pop game stores that will have it for cheaper and probably in better condition.

Actually they all came in the original box with the original cover, but I'm not so sure on the manual.

I was gonna check out my local Play N Trade, but that's only one store.

The problem here is that GameStop DOMINATES this area. There are literally 3 stores on ONE street.
There's probably more GameStops than Starbucks here.
I'm gonna try searching Online for any "mom and pop" stores, but as far as I know, there aren't too many.

I would go to Play N Trade, from what I've seen, they price all of their items to be cheaper than their competitors. Around here, it's a local chain they are pricing against because they price against Gamestop.

Its not terrible with the case, though. I'd definitely consider Wind Waker at 18 dollars and good condition.

Wind Waker and Sunshine are good, Jungle Beat is meh.

I kinda figured I'd buy Jungle Beat since I do have the "Kongas".

Oh, well I guess that works too.

Well this should make for an interesting story... >_>

Yesterday I went and checked out Play-N-Trade.
The only game I found there was Super Mario Sunshine, which was $13, however half of the case was torn up, so I obviously was not gonna get that.

I decide to go to the same GameStop I went to the other day completely opposite the way I came and inside a mall all at the same time trying to rush home to watch one of the football games.

So I get down and I see two of the three games (Wind Waker and Jungle Beat) in the exact same place I left them. The cases were in great condition and they both had manuals, so I was definitely going to purchase those.

I then look for Super Mario Sunshine hoping that I could find one the same as the other two games I found.

I do end up finding Sunshine, the case is in pretty good condition, however there's no manual, so I say whatever I'll try looking for it somewhere else.

At this time, I go to the register with Wind Waker and Jungle Beat.
The cashier then tells me that  there's a special on used games: Buy 2, Get 1 Free.

So I decide I might as well get Sunshine, I go to the shelf get the game and return to the cashier with Sunshine in hand.

He then tells me that they don't have Jungle Beat, so now I have to go back and look for another game.

I go back and I see Pikmin, which was $20, so I say forget it.

I then see Chibi Robo for $13, so having heard good things about the game and seeing as the case was in good condition and the manual was in the game, I decide to get it.

So in the end I ended up getting:
Wind Waker (Case in good condition. Manual included.) - $18
Sunshine (Case in good condition. Manual not included.) - $17
Chibi Robo (Case in great condition. Manual included.) - $13

I may just try to look for Sunshine in other GameStop stores and if I find it I guess I'll buy it and return the other one if that's possible...

Most clerks check out the games in the cases.

Sooner or later you're going to get busted.

Yeah what he said, and also, for used games I like to use half.com. You hve to pay for shipping, but you get a wider selection

Uh. I mean at home. I buy it, if the case is crappy I just put the paper slip in a decent one I already own.
