Mario Kart Wii online - Getting boring?

Anyone else find Mario Kart Wii's online play getting boring?
I do. For one, the tournaments are beginning to lose their touch. To me, they just aren't that fun anymore.
Another reason, everyone online sucks. Well, some of them are decent. But most of them suck. Unless I'm playing a friends match, everyone I play has a 5,000-6,000 VR. It's not fun when everyone isn't very good. :-\
