Check out what Nintendo gave us this week.
An Animal Crossing calculator and an Animal Crossing alarm clock.
Come on. :|

First off, the DSi has an alarm clock. So does the original DS. The only difference, they slapped Animal Crossing all over it to market it.

Secondly, why use the DSi as a calculator. I'd rather use, um, a calculator. :P

I just have to say that this better not continue. I want better apps than this. :|
So, discuss.
YEAH

Nayrman

and now you see why I didn't bother spending my money on a marginally better system with with no real reason to upgrade XD

You have just described the Nintendo DSi entirely, in just 15 words.

Nice. Having a stylish calculator and alarm clock sounds good.

You might as well just say "Why use the DSi as a DS? I'd rather use a DS." Which is basically how I feel about it.

Me too, thats the only reason why I bother looking at the shop channel on mondays.

I would get it... if it actually had scientific calculator functions. Even moreso if it had graphing.
Even Microsoft provides scientific and graphing calculators for free.

They do? :o

Why all the DSi hate?
Your acting like the system is useless.
Picture functionality and downloads are the reason you bought the DSi.
Its 40 dollars more than a normal Lite, and even if you may not like how they try and push this worthless alarm clock app you have to realize that hey, the DSi is pretty darn cheap for what you get in the box.

Nintedo has never really catered to the hard-core fans in the past few years, and you get mad because you thought the DSi would change all this?

Use the internet, play good games, and take pictures.
For 160-70 dollars there's no reason to ninny.

Hey, I'm happy with the DSi.
I just don't like how they're pushing these useless apps on us. At least make them free. :\
YEAH

Scientific calculator is included with all Windows versions 2000 or later. Perhaps 95 and 98 have it as well. Start->Accessories->Calculator (then view->scientific).
Microsoft's web site has a graphing calculator available, at least for windows XP, here.

I'm just saying that I don't think it's worth it if you already have a DS, especially if you have a decent amount of GBA games you don't want to part with.
