the setup I'm going to use will be very bizarre, a lines-blurred approach, but I don't want to show anyone my ideas >_<

is there any advice someone could give me?

Uh, I can help with that.

In general, should you use special roles, you want to make sure the innocents are way overpowered. If you use effects, like my plague, you want to ensure they aren't massively handicapped.

Uh...make sure to enforce secrecy. No matter how good the idea, a lack of secrecy wrecks it. Oh, and good stories help.

the problem with the idea is that it may cause too much chaos.  The idea is likely to be revealed within the first few turns (possibly the first, even), but it is something that only one player controls.

I have a ton of innocent roles, and my current innocent/balance favors the innocents a fair bit in terms of numbers, but not in terms of weaponry.

A lack of secrecy makes this idea. :3

I'd say you don't want too many of one type of role. (Ex: Many roles that find out other user's roles.)
And bring something new.

I believe I was making the next werewolf. >=(
There's Light, Jono, and you.
Geez. We'll have enough werewolves for a few months. :P

I really would like to do the next werewolf, seeing as how I haven't done a game in awhile, and I do have experience with hosting events such as these... But, whatever. One person takes advantage of a free opportunity, and millions come flocking to it in droves.
Holy crap all my sigs were always poop. Best leave this space alone.

To be fair, Rob kind of started the niche, and I popularized it. It really was the work of both of us that kicked em off, which is likely why we discussed teaming up to do one. :P

Well, I'm not making the next Werewolf for a while. :(

I'm not planning to take anyone's spot, and I would be 4th in line, i think.

something new?

<_<

>_>

my problem is trying to balance all the new ideas that I've come up with.  Really, one or two of them would probably be decent additions to a regular game, the chaotic centerpiece is what I'm trying to figure out how to balance.
