Very obvious things you miss in video games

Dumbass, I knew how, I didn't know I could move Peach, I thought I could only control Mario and Peach was all just story plot junk, I pressed A many times, but as you may/may not know, A does nothing with Peach unless touching certain things.

I wasn't asking it seriously, chill. Ok i see i played it and it took a little to figure out what to do playing as peach, since she can't really do much in that game.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - i suck at all tactical rpg's so I find a way to screw myself over for almost every chapter without thinking.

...ok I'm not that bad at them but compared to regular RPG's It's just...So obvious. I miss some of the dumbest things like one of my characters being cornered or the enemy having a bow as well.

Also, this exchange I can just barely remember between me and my brothers regarding Mega Man X1, when I was about 5 or 6. I took the liberty of refining my dialogue for your convenience, so there you go.

Me: "What's Chill Penguin's weakness?"
Jay: "..."
Pete: "..."
"What is it? Come on, tell me!"
Pete: "He's an ice penguin, right?"
"He is?"
Pete: "What happens when ice touches fire?"
"...it goes bye-bye?"
Pete: Yes. So, what do you think Chill Penguin's weakness is?
"I don't know! That's why I asked!"
Pete: "Here, just give me the controller."

And another I clearly remember, from when I was playing Metroid Prime 1 for the first time, and had trouble beating Flaaghra. Note that I was eight at the time.

Me: "What am I supposed to do!? I keep shooting him but he won't die!"
Pete: "Do you ever bother scanning anything?"
"Yes, but only to get 100%."
Jay: "You don't bother READING any of them?"
"No."
Pete: "Why!? Reading can HELP you sometimes, you know."
"But it feels so pointless when I can just shoot everything."
Jay: "Okay, here, let me give you a hint. What is Flaaghra?"
"A giant plant."
Jay: "What do plants need to live?"
"Water."
Pete: "And?"
"...water."
Jay: "Okay, let's try something different. Where does Venasaur draw the power from to power his Solarbeam?"
"Uhh...uhhh...uhhh..."
Jay: "Well?"
"I don't know."
Jay: "THE SUN!!! *ragequits and leaves the room"
"Ohhh....that makes much more sense. I thought I had to burn the water."
